Not a good look for a guy who's already had a show cause to have the fricking feds knocking on your door arresting one of your assistants

Maybe Tenner would take him back.

With the info we have now, I'd say he more than likely stays at AU.

I think he likely stays for now, assuming he doesn't want to bail on a sinking ship.

I don't think the facts align in a way, so far, that Pearl was likely a player in this scheme.

But, I suppose evidence could reveal he knew or had reason to know, and if so, then it's hard to keep him.

50-50 IMO, but as of now I don't think it's the NCAA that really forces the issue.

Right now it looks like he will. More may come of this though that would change that.

Auburn fans, do you want to keep him, or is it better to clean house?

Without a doubt he is gone. Barners are deliberately missing the forest for the trees here. Hard to blame them. When it's your team at stake you try and hold on to any positive you can find in these situations.

Fact of the matter is that he is responsible for the behavior of his assistants, and plausible deniability isn't going to save any of these coaches. Including Arkansas coaches should they be implicated. I would view it precisely the same. People wanna say that Auburn wasn't benefiting from this, but it's clear that they were considering the talent they were beginning to sign. They were trying to establish a one and done program. Got caught breaking the law. Will pay. And probably be made example of. And frick them anyways.

Pearl more than likely stays, for the moment, because Auburn can't afford to have Jay Jacobs making another important coaching hire.

When Auburn fires Jacobs...and they will fire him...then Pearl should start worrying.

I don't give the shite of two fiddlers fricking on a flapjack about shooty hoops. So I don't care either way. YMMV

He will get fired, but I think the death penalty is a little much.

At this time Bruce is safe and I expect that to continue.
This was a rogue coach who was doing this to benefit himself. Auburn is the Victim in this, says so in the indictment. Without Auburn being a victim there is not crime.

Provided the facts really seem to indicate he was in the dark, I definitely want to keep him.

I mean, CP was one of our guys, it's not like Bruce hired him over our objection. While I'm not saying BP doesn't deserve some blame for not knowing what is going on with his assistants, it's a different situation for me than a longtime assistant or a family member or one of those things (that you see a good bit in similar circumstances).

Aren't head coaches (no matter the sport) responsible for their staff's actions? If this is the case he is in serious trouble, like never coaching again trouble.

If he wasn't involved, I want to keep him, but not sure it matters. We are at the very least losing 2 of our best players this season. Hard to see the program going anywhere now.

Agree, but Pearl should already be worried.

Honestly, they both should be fired. JJ should be the first.
