Harris is JJ 2.0. Can't wait until November.

So he'll have multiple wins over Alabama?

Besides the Clintonesque memories your last sentence evokes...Do you really not understand the desirability of being able to execute multiple aspects of offensive football in order to be as diverse as possible?

Do you fail to see the value in being able accomplish a task using multiple means of execution?

Answering questions with questions?

How Clintonesque.

The answer is that it doesn't matter. If an opponent shuts down the running game, then we will find out if LSU can throw the ball. What if no team can shut down the running game? In 1982 UGA passed for an average of 82 yards per game.

To answer your questions:

No and no.

But your questions are irrelevant.

Exactly. You should really only pass if you have to. LSU hasn't had to.

They will, but they haven't had to yet.

So why do folks back-up their hard-drives at work if they've never had a hard-drive or network failure before? Why do folks buy home generators if they've never lost power before? Why do folks buy insurance if they've never had so much as a toothache to have to seek any sort've medical attention for?

You and I both know the answers you're giving make no sense. It's okay. We're both LSU Fans. At the end of the day I know you take pride in our program and so do I.

But this line you're rolling out here is intellectually dishonest and makes zero sense.

honestly I don't know that this is a given. At least not for more than say 4-5 first downs.

If they want to beat good teams they will need to pass DS.

Who do you think you lose to in the playoff?

Why are you assuming he thinks LSU would lose a playoff game in that scenario?

Edited for understanding-impaired.

So what you're saying is that you'd advise NO ONE to prepare for Hurricane Season since you can't say its a given that there will be any storms that impact us before they actually impact us?

This line of thinking is simply without any type of logical merit whatsoever. You're not passing the ball just to pass it. You're passing the ball to make sure you can prevent teams from shutting down your ability to be productive on offense in the case of an injury or fantastic run defense.

You have to understand that Drac is such a pathetic homer he thinks LSU doesn't have to pass.

Hard-drives, generators, insurance, none of that is football.

It's really quite simple, don't throw the ball if you don't have to.

Run the ball, play tough defense and disciplined special teams.

Here's the thing...he's free to do that. He may very well be right.

But I don't think I'll break my arm next week either. I don't think I'll wreck my car tomorrow night. I don't think my house will flood this afternoon.

That doesn't stop me from preparing for things like that by paying for car insurance or homeowners or health insurance. You spend money and put things in place that help you weather an emergency not because they absolutely will happen.

It's all about risk mitigation. This is simple, simple math here. Saying you don't have to save money because you've never had a financial emergency is so ridiculously stupid its hardly worth calling out...but amazingly, people actually believe this...

You're putting words in my mouth. I'm not at all saying that we shouldn't do everything we can to develop the passing game more, and really this year it's not so much on Harris as it is our pass protection and receivers.

But I am not sure that we'll ever have to pass for 250+ in order to win a game this year.

Hard to be efficient in the passing game, especially blocking when you don't try to do it.

You can't seriously be this stupid, can you?

You do realize that Harris probably throws the ball over 100 times every week, don't you?

I'm not saying we don't need to be better

But I am saying that I'm not sure we'll ever have to have to throw it for a bunch of yards to win.
