Will Arkansas ever be back?

I mean 4 SEC wins in 3 years?! McFadden is long gone and Bert is more concerned with eating donuts than coaching. I don't think they'll be back until Mullen leaves as they've replaced MSU as the bottom dwellers of the west.

Is back simply not a cellar dweller? All that has happened is the MS teams got good coaches, so they cant rely on them for automatic wins.

Yea, you actually have to be somewhere before you're "back" IMO. But if you mean back to mediocre with a decent season once a decade or so then of course.

Back to what? I think they're slowly improving and Bert is making tweaks figuring out what their identity in the SEC should be, with a lot of growing pains.
I think eventually Bert gets them a consistent 8-win level, with occasional 10+ wins and high rankings and whatnot. And that'll pretty much be good enough. Sure, plenty of fans won't be totally satisfied, but some will be realistic and so will the admin.
To your biggest point, I think Bert can eat donuts and coach simultaenously
