I never said we should be in the SECCG over UGA this year.
I DID talk a lot of smack about the beating we gave them and called their schedule Charmin soft. Also I said, next year it's cool, b/c we get the easier schedule.
I post on cockytalk.com regularly. While I don't doubt that some random poster(s) said something to the sort of we deserve to be there more, I don't think it's the majority of Gamecock fans in the least.
If anything, I think this is something UGA fans came up with/exaggerate as part of their coping skill to the butt hurt we laid upon them for the past 3 years.

UGA deserves to be in ATL, no doubt. But Gamecocks were clearly the superior team.

LOL ya at the beginning of the season when we had half our defense fresh back from suspensions and a much more in-experienced O Line. UGA has gotten better as the years gone on. USCe...not so much. If we played again...it would be a much better game. The only part of USCe's team I am willing to give you is better than UGA is your defensive line. But with Latti out (hate it for that kid)...and on a neutral field (out of your techno arse-rapping music) UGA wins. Its not about who starts strong...its who is healthier and finishes strong.

Who said that? But let's be honest, you look 'improved' because your competition got easier, not because someone made a speech to fire up the team, or whatever other rationale you guys have been floating around here. I could use your logic for the Gamecocks offense.... offense has looked VASTLY improved at the end of the season... of course, that could be because Florida and LSU were in the rear view mirror and the cocks got to play tennessee, arky and clemson.
But, by all means, continue to believe your team's blowout wins over GT and Auburn were due to overall team improvement and not the level of competition.... you may be right... we'll find out tomorrow, perhaps.

And this is our fault? You guys have suspensions at thUG every year and for the previous 2 years said, "you only beat us b/c ... is out," or, "if this game was played later in the season we would be better and win."
So this year, the game was moved to the 6th game, all of your players were back from suspension the game before us...and we absolutely crushed y'all.

Anybody can a have a bad game. Did UGA have a bad game against USCe? Absolutely! Was this due to USCe being a better team? To some extent. I'm still trying to figure out how it matters what the score was. You could have won 100-0 and we still go to Atlanta. Isn't that what this thread is about? You feel like you should be going?

In the end, I can only speak for myself, but I think the general feeling in Gamecock nation is that the Cocks should not be going, but neither should Georgia (the 3rd best team in the division).
