And up the SEC record to 9-2? Or is it not considered that way by the talking heads.

I've also been confused on the matter that will they count playoff games as bowl victories or just playoff wins?

I know the Michigan State game is considered bowl victory, but what about Clemson

Yes. The NC Game is a bowl game. Fact. Bama has two bowl games this year. I promise, believe me.

No.

It will be the NC game.

It isn't the Cotton/Orange/Rose/Sugar/Fiesta bowl, those have already been played.

You're wrong.

There is a bowl game called The National Championship Game.

It's been that way since the later years of the BCS. It will count on Bama's all time bowl record and the SEC's

It isn't a bowl game.

You are correct that it counts on the post season record.

No it isn't, it still follows the plus one format established during the BCS era.

That doesn't make it not a bowl game. It never did.

I'd rather not mix "bowl" games and "playoff" games.
Even though bowl games are nice and for the most part teams try to win, playoff games have much higher stakes.

ESPN said MSU was Saban's second bowl shutout at Alabama.

What was his first?

Yes the CG counts as a bowl win. OSU went 2-0 in last year's bowl games according to Wiki. Either Bama or Clemson will also be 2-0 after this year's CFP.

It's a postseason victory and will count as such. The term bowl is not well defined, it started as nickname from the Rose Bowl stadium.

We do need to figure out who get's credit for the Super Bowl.

Also do we go 1-1 in both the Egg Bowl and Iron Bowl?
