Will A&M fans melt more with a W and Sumlin retained or with a L?

I need to know what to cheer for on Thursday, TIA.

There is a section of our fanbase that is weak and content with going 9-3 with losses to both Mississippi schools

Don't think Sumlin is let go even with a loss.

If he loses Thanksgiving and the Texas bowl, I would think they let him go.

He's going to be retained regardless.

What if he loses to Texas or TCU in the Texas bowl after losing to LSU?

I guess I'm weak, because I'd have a hard time getting angry about 9-3, Sugar Bowl, 2nd in the West this year - a year we were predicted to finish 6th in the West. That's not to say the Mississippi games weren't monumental chokes. They were. And we have to actually beat LSU, which will be hard.

Nothing.
There is no will to fire him this year. He alone commands a $15MM buyout due within 60 days. And then there's the assistants. We're waiting until after we crash and burn next year to fire him. That gives us political cover and a lower total buyout liability.

If aTm wins, you best believe they won't melt. SECrant will be pure hell for LSU fans

Sumlin stays win or lose Thursday.
Texas A&M is one of the most fiscally conservative universities in the country.
There is no way we spend $15-$20 million to blow up this coaching staff.

Based on the comments on our board there will be no melt win or lose. Both outcomes have plenty of downsides.
Not a good week at all.

You better hope we keep him because all the good candidates will have better jobs by the time our bowl loss would be done.

Hubes could probably fill in for a year.

Sugar Bowl? They are obligated to take the highest ranked SEC team not in the playoff. So Tennessee loses to Vandy, Florida loses to FSU, Auburn loses to Alabama, and Aggie beats what would then be a 6-4 unranked LSU team which jumps them above all 4 teams that are currently ranked ahead of them. Seems legit
Auburn is currently 15th and A&M is 25th. Most teams don't normally fall too far after losing to Bama.

aTm isn't letting Sumlin go with both LSU and Texas looking for coaches.

With a win Aggies take 2nd place in the SEC West and will have a good bowl invitation.
Also Alabama may very well skulldrag Auburn.

Don't see any way in hell we win this game. He's back I'm afraid too.
