I think you have to be a real football fan with some understanding of how the college playoff system works and have some idea of the upcoming top 10 matchups later this year to understand this.
If you were a "real football fan with some understanding of how the college playoff system works", you'd know that conference championships are at the top of the committee's floating requirements.
People who still think two teams from the same conference are getting in are delusional. The playoff committee does not want to go the way of the BCS.

That only counts if they are trying when trying to pick between qualified teams. It isn't a requirement, more like a bonus point.
If there is a one loss team, and the one loss is to the #1 no debating it team, then there is a chance that one loss team could get a playoff spot over a two loss conference champion.

Nope, they've become Bama cucks.
They found a large crimson penis, and they'll be damned if they don't ride it.
This. Even after that same penis whipped then up and down the field Saturday. Pathetic

The only way that happens is if Bama is the team on the outside looking in.

They will if we have 2 loss champions. It would not be shocking if OU won the Big 12. They're actually the favorite on TeamRankings. UW has played no one yet and they won't play anyone left on the schedule. I only expect them to lose 1, but 2 wouldn't be crazy.
There is no way a 2 loss OU or UW makes it in over a 1 loss SEC West team, 1 loss tOSU, or 1 loss UL.

It's not a bonus point, it's one of the few things they've hinted is required. That is, if you pay attention.

So, they haven't played anyone and have gone undefeated, but aren't playing anyone else and will drop 2 games.
That doesn't sound like wishful thinking or anything.

Washington and Washington State both have the same record in conference.
If Washington State goes 10-2, THEY go to Santa Clara and not Washington despite having 2 losses because they would be unbeaten in conference.

See how I predicted this and came true in this very thread.

I don't need to read between any lines. It is clearly posted on their website:

See? It is not a requirement its a tie breaker.
Part of the point of the system is to get away from auto-bids that propped up all those crappy Big East teams in the BCS era.

Wouldn't be crazy = will happen?
You're trying too hard at this point.

The delusion some SEC fans have after watching the BCS crumble for this exact reason is hilarious.

You guys need Lsu to beat us.
And at that point we'd still need Auburn to beat you, which definitely isn't happening, so who cares? We should have been good enough to take care of business but we weren't. O well. Sugar Bowl is the goal now, and frick LSU.

I think you need to re-read the OP. The question was about the game this Saturday. At this point in time... there is no reason to pull for LSU. We are better off in Bama wins out.
If LSU wins this Saturday then we will pull for Auburn as one of the Ags above already stated.
It's really a question of what we think is more likely. A 2 loss LSU team beating Bama. This same LSU team that has beaten 3 teams since Miles left (one of which was a shitty OOC game where you scored 6 points in first half AND the other was against a spiraling Ole Miss team that just lost to Arkansas) beating Alabama. If LSU were to win then we need to hope a 2 loss Auburn team that is largely one-dimensional beating Bama also.
Seriously?? Is this really what you think is our best shot??? Are you kidding me?
GTFOOH. Not sure if saying there is a 90% chance against a second team getting into the playoffs from the SEC is delusional or not. I didn't say 90% chance of it happening, I said 10% chance of it happening.
Just shut the frick up. Good lord.
