Not sure if this has ever happened before, but with Muschamp out the door and them wanting to get a new HC in place im curious if they will even accept going to the Compass or Independence bowl

Yep. And it will allow GA Southern to get to a bowl in their absence. Fitting really, considering last year's tickle fight between UF and GSU

If they make a bowl game they will have a intern coach for bowl game mark it down.

UF gave UG a good tickle sans lube in Jax.

I've always wondered what 91 for Georgia Southern must be thinking at that point.

No, SEC wont let them

SEC office would have to ok it.
I think they would go just to get the junk they give them.

He's thinking, "Oh shite they got a 1st down."
And no we wouldn't decline a bowl.

I think like 2 years ago La Tech had a bowl invitation and declined thinking they'd get invited to a better bowl and ended up going to no bowl

No way they would turn down the opportunity for the extra bowl practices

I doubt it seriously, and not sure the SEC would allow this, regardless if they have a coach in place and I doubt they will.

USC also declined a bowl invitation after their brawl with Clemson several years back. Pretty sure Notre Dame did a long time ago as well, but I could be misremembering. Ball State also declined an invite in the past as well.

What about this one?
And we didn't decline an actual bowl invitation, both SC and Clemson declared they bowl banned themselves before invites went out.
I do think we declined one in the '90s though.

What good are the practices if they are with the staff that is being fired with Muschamp?

We better not, only for the extra practices you get at least.

If Florida chooses to play in a bowl...we will play in a bowl. Muschamp will not coach the bowl game, Foley made mention of this in today's press conference.

All of the underclassmen aren't getting fired with them, correct? Extra reps for them, no matter who is the coaching staff, can't hurt

Even the Independence bowl pays out $1.1M.
If they decline to go they should not receive thier 1/14th cut of the total bowl payouts.
Pull your own weight.

As long as they also decline their 1/15th share of bowl revenues, I don't care...
