wiBO: A Hagiography

There is infinite curiosity and high energy surrounding the surprising hire of Barry Odom (wiBO) by the University of Missouri - Columbia for the position of Head Football Coach.
As usual, Mizzou did not take the safe route in this hire, branching all the way out to their Defensive Coordinator position to locate the best candidate for the job. A nationwide search of many weeks and countless candidates by one of the most respected ADs in the IAADs (Intergalactic Association of Athletic Directors) led to the ingenious solution of hiring a former player and current coach for the head coaching position. The creative space that comprises the AD department has secured its reputation as a place of outside-the-box thinking that has made Mizzou famous.
So who is the new coach? Well, let's start with who he's not:
He's not Dave Odom. He's not Barry Gibb. He's not Lamar Odom. He's not Barry White. He is related to Marion Barry on his mother's side, oddly enough.
Who is he? He's a rough-as-a-cob sonofabitch. A university famous for taking the hard stances and not caving in to pressure has found the perfect fit in a head coach. A defensive mastermind, he led the Memphis university team to a pretty good season that one time in a league that some people would recognize if you said what league it was. I didn't take the time to look up what league Memphis was in or I'd have put it in this post. Suffice it to say, it's pretty impressive.
He's made some amazing hires. The D-coordinator is from TCU - a defensive powerhouse for years. The offensive coordinator coached Sam Bradford that one time. So that pretty much speaks for itself. Andy Hill was retained by wiBO, as well. One of the more masterful moves in the offseason in the SEC. And the recruiting has continued at Mizzou at breakneck speed. A regular stream of 3-star recruits have us in their final 10, so we got that going for us.
So, we can expect wiBO to provide the conference with a lot of obscure facts from the SID to the announcers of the 11 AM game on the SEC network. "Did you know that wiBO is bald underneath that stylish Mizzou hat?" "Did you know that wiBO played linebacker on this very field? In fact on the same turf. These cheap sonofobitches haven't replaced it since then."
And finally, Barry Odom is not related to David Odom - Associate Professor of Clarinetistry at the University of Auburn (GA). That's a rumor that's popped up a lot in the offseason and we wanted to set that straight.
Here's to another 7-6 season at the University of Missouri. We don't take shite off of anyone. (Some exclusions and limitations apply.)

At the risk of having beer bottles thrown at me I'll quote Gary Pinkel: "It is what it is".
Gary did well with 3 stars. Can Barry?

We do what we do.
What we do works.
What we do works.

I see what you did there, took a story and inverted the superlatives.
For example you changed infinitesimal curiosity to "infinite".

And may I suggest you take some of your comrades under your wing and guide them in the ways of artful posting?
