Why would you go to Bama when you are going to sit on the bench for three years?

4 - 5 National Championship rings sounds like a pretty good reason.
Do you know how many fingers one has on a given hand?
5.
Can you imagine a ring for every finger. Mind # Blown

If I was an olineman I would know I could get away with holding every play. Pretty nice perk.

Actually not a bad question. A lot of 5 stars are going to ride the bench at Alabama because of the ridiculous depth there. It's hard to get scouted by any NFL team when you have no film.

most college bound players are more concerned about playing time than winning championships. I'd say most choose Alabama for the stature and attention it brings them while they're in high school. Most of those players believe they will start every game in college no matter who is in front of them, just like every teenager thinks he or she is going to be some type of star.

Maybe your hobby is bench sitting. What a great bench to sit on. Plus the view of the game would be remarkable.

I agree. Bama has had real trouble putting players in the NFL.

Well, you get done of the best coaching possible. NFL scouts line up when we allow open practices and viewing opportunities, and were winning championships. It's no problem for guys that are willing to work hard, and earn their spot on the field. It's bad for guys that expect to start from day 1.
It all depends on a player's personality and expectations.
