Why would anyone watch the WBB tournament?

All the excitement that comes along with the men's tournament, upsets everywhere, etc... none of that exists in the women's game until maybe the final 4. Every year the bracket is pretty close to chalk all the way through. Hell - UConn just won a sweet 16 game against the 5 seed by 50 points.
Forgetting the fact that the women's game is nearly unwatchable for several other reasons... why not make it a 32 or 16 team tournament and stop wasting everybody's time?
Or why not skip the tournament and pit #1 vs #2 a la the BCS? Even better.

Why does it bother you when you can simply change the channel? It's not like it's taking up valuable airtime from the men's tournament (where literally every game is covered).
And I like to watch Kentucky's women play. They're a pretty scrappy bunch and the quality of play has improved with the addition of the 10 second backcourt violation to go with the shorter shot clock.

Not trying to be a jackass but I'd rather watch wbb than baseball. Both should stop at the high school level.

College baseball is an infinitely better spectator sport (and sport in general) than WBB. Hell, Softball is a lot better than WBB. As is Gymnastics. The only things more boring to watch are Golf and Equestrian.

Because you are a notorious MLB hater, I'm sure you would miss the NHL though, which is a much less successful sport.

I mean, I get that the current tournament is set up to match the men's game. But the difference between a 1 seed and a 16 seed in the men's game is roughly equal to the difference between a 1 seed and a 6 seed in the women's game. I'm sure big upsets happen every couple years, but after consulting Google, I found the following:
Lowest seed to win men's tournament = 8
Lowest seed to win women's tournament = 3
That is crazy. That's in the history of both tournaments.

Probably b/c the SEC Reg Season and Tournament Champion Gamecocks are still in it.
