what the hell do you care? we paid les over 4 million a year, gave him great facilities, let him hire staff at top of the industry salaries so he could get the best, and he was underperforming since 2011.

you might not understand, but you've got no business calling us names and getting bent out of shape because we made a business decision.

You love les so much, get your administration to hire him.

btw, it's not inconsistent nor contradictory both to honor the man for his accomplishments and let him go because he couldn't do it anymore. the majority of LSU fans feel this way.

No one is mad at LSU. We are voicing valid concerns that a SEC power is being lead around by an incompetent AD, but none of us are mad about it.

That being said I don't think he can fix Brandon Harris.

Just because I'm not associated with a rapist doesn't mean I don't have the right to be angry at them.

You should stop and think about the nonbiased perspectives here.

Cause we wanted Les to continue to field mediocre teams. Hopefully LSU fumbles the hire.

Les was a very good coach, but things were clearly stale, and he was too stubborn or stupid to adapt.

I'm not mad at all. Hope you guys get the coach you want. If it is Herman that is fine with me.

Isn't there a board set aside for this now? Anyway, LSU paid Miles a lot of money and wasn't getting the results they wanted. LSU has now fired a coach mid season and are the laughing stock of the SEC for not firing him last year. Miles was my favorite non Bama sec coach of all time. He was loyal to his staff and LSU and down right amusing. I think that is why fans from other schools are reacting like they are. He is a likeable guy and most didn't want to see him fired. It is LSU's program and they can do what they want. And we can do what we want as well. That is we can laugh at the train wreck that LSU has become. Coach O as LSU's coach.

Me too, I would rather Herman go to LSU over Texas.

I personally don't think Herman has the players he needs on LSU's roster for his offense so I expect a multi year rebuild if he goes there. Those don't always work out, especially when a fanbase is impatent for progress.

From what I'm hearing out in the public this isn't accurate. Most felt Miles should be allowed to play out the string once again. Not like they couldn't have arranged to have him announce he'd be leaving at season's end and they damn sure won't get either of the guys they want until then. The administration has bungled this for a year. That's the consensus of opinion in the public, which is a helluva lot more folks than this message board entails.

I don;t think it is that. I think most logical people that actually follow football know there were problems on that team and that something had to be done. I think the issue for most is that Les is such a good and decent man that people hate to see this happen to him. I think we faced that at Alabama with Mike Shula. Mike was one f our own and the people at Alabama loved Mike Shula the person, just not so much Mike Shula the coach. It is a difficult situation for all involved.

Coach Miles will be ok and so will LSU. I think Miles will always be remembered in a good light by LSU as well as all other fans in the SEC. Coach Miles is a good man with character and any decent person hates to see him have to go through this.

I agree. Herman does looks good right now at UH. Does that translate to LSU? Maybe... maybe not. Pressure at UH does not compare with LSU pressure.

I wanted him gone but it was a half assed move to bring him back last year for only 4 games.

Fire him last year or stick with your decision until the end of the year.

These SEC schools don't care about LSU. And, we certainly don't care about what they think. Of course they want us to keep Miles. The bottom feeders have surpassed us on his watch! Les is a class act, but his luck was gone. It was time for a change.
