coaching ineptitude

^^This is why Rabern stays such a sour puss.

Gross coaching ineptitude = AU paying a HC +$4.5mm/yr, and after a time out, lets his FB run the offense on some gimmick play on 4th down.

Hurts did not red shirt and Tua is rated higher coming out of HS

Also please explain to me if Hurts is the only scholarship QB returning why any coach would RS a 5 star or that matter any scholarship QB coming in and leave the team with only one QB in the fall. It seems the ideal situation would be to have Tua prepare as the #2 in case Hurts gets hurt or to save him when not needed

What rumors that Cornwell is transferring? All I've heard is Bateman not Cornwell

I'm sure coaching ineptitude had nothing to do with it.
I don't care how good of a recruiter you are, you dont recruit the number classes by losing to ULM. Player weren't beating down the door for Saban or Bama prior to him coming there. It's no different than OM out of the blue starts pulling top kids. I'm sorry that's too complicated for Bama fans understand. If it was because it was because Bama was so great it would have been no different with the 3 Mike's running it.

Is it hard to believe that maybe Saban is just really dedicated to recruiting? Bama already had normally okay to good classes before Saban.

SEC Rant logic:

"Jalen Hurts isn't very good."

"Why would a 5* QB commit to a school with only one other scholarship QB on the roster (who isn't very good)?"

The 2008 recruiting class was mostly players from Alabama, a few from Tennessee and Mississippi, and Mark Ingram. You saying we shouldn't have been able to get recruits from our own state?

We went from losing to LA Monroe in 2007 to having an undefeated regular season in 2008. You don't think that would excite some recruits for the 2009 class?

Because every QB is confident that they are the missing piece. These kids always been the star at their school and think they will grace whichever team they go to with a NC.

Backup QB is the greatest position in football. Even better when rings come with it.

AU's recruiting is better than it's ever been. Is it because AU coaches are heads and shoulders better than anything Tubs could muster? Are the AU coaches just overall better recruiters than they were 10 yrs ago? Has Auburn's "brand" increased in value due to their winning the BCSNC?

Please tell us why Auburn consistently hauls in top 10 recruiting classes?

He is not the only scholarship QB returning.

Like someone else said earlier in the thread AJ was the backup to GMAC in 09 while he redshirted. I believe it will be the same for Tua. Why waste a year if you don't have to?
