Why we shouldn't ignore A&M.

I wouldn't pick A&M to win the West, but lets not totally write them off yet. They obviously lack talent on the defensive side of the ball, but a good defensive coordinator can make an untalented defense at least serviceable. I watched Dave Wommack take an Ole Miss defense in 2012 that had maybe less than 4 legitimate SEC athletes on roster, plug middle linebackers in at the D-Line, cornerbacks at safety, and safetys at outside linebacker, to create a serviceable defense. I want no part of this Chavis/Steele debate, but I think we all can agree Chavis is a good Defensive Coordinator, and if that Aggie defense becomes even average in addition to their explosive offense, they could be scary. Their schedule also isn't especially tough this year, the only West teams they play in hostile territory is Ole Miss/LSU.

Whether they win or lose, you won't be able to ignore the Aggies.

High flying offense with an upgrade on the defensive side. Teams would be stupid to look by them

Obviously, the fricking longhorns can't. You should go post on your rival's web page. We're not.

They won't stop clamoring for attention whether we try to ignore them or not.

I wouldn't say they will crush them...but ASU silently put together a very good year last season, with most of their key players returning. Very excited about this game though.

Here's a good Chavis question free from flaming or melting components. What is Sumlin going to change about his offense to compliment his defense? I mean there's a strong possibility yalls defense won't be able to stand at the end of the game. I say this because yalls offense has had one of the lowest TOP like every year of Sumlin (not just SEC but entire country) and Chavis defense requires alot of physical control. So what do yall expect in that regard considering Sumlins offense gets off the field really quick?
Also notice that LSU-Bamas offenses are very similar(especially in tempo)= Kevin Steele.

This has been addressed previously, but I appreciate real football talk so I'll be informative...
Dave Christensen was hired to coordinate the run game. Sumlin recognized the néed to be more physical up front. DC has a strong track record of solid offensive production. So I expect the idea is to control the clock more by converting more third and short situations on the ground.
This is how Sumlin is going to change the offense to compliment the defense.

The 2012 defense wasn't that talented and stood up alright. So I reject your premise as ridiculous.
