As we all know LSU fans are bad about taking their own medicine. They are quick to dole out shite talk, but when the worm turns they always try to shut you down rather than capitulate like most fanbases.

I think Ranters have started to preemptively enjoy likely LSU fan melts because when they go from likely to reality few get to completely enjoy it with all the RAs and bannings.

Here's we are facing a LSU hiring cycle that by any objective measure has to be considered a frick up so far (they should have fired him last year), which tells us a final result that LSU fans won't initially like is just as or more likely than them getting the guy they want.

But the moment the hires are announced this place will be locked down like a jail cell to keep anyone from relishing if it doesn't go their way. So Ranters now get their hits in when it's merely a likely bad outcome in order to make it easier to drop a quick hammer whenever things do go south because the groundwork is done.

And I think it is a bad strategy in this case. Every single better job that goes on the market will cause it's own mini melt, and simply the amount of time they will be kept hanging (a guy like Herman won't publically commit for months) will cause impatient melts. We all need to chill.

LSU fans are just as spoiled as Alabama. We observed that today.

interesting thought, they might.

they may force a lot of hands. some coaches who were borderline may get their walking papers out of fear of being left on the outside looking in

There might not be any but to me it's worth the wait. Way too early to know.

you're post seems well thought out. too bad it's a waste of time. some examples.....

horse shite. exactly which fanbases capitulate when the "worm turns". you aggies? bama? ar-kansas? what a joke

hah. you use the word "objective" in a very strange way and it is pure balderdash. since everyone else waits until the season is over, you have all the vacancies at once. supply and demand is greatly different. firing our coach now may turn out to be a stroke of genius. and that is much more "objective" than your comment.

nevertheless, i'm OK with you enjoying our situation. it's not like we haven't been enjoying yours.

I think you've thought about this entirely too much.

Yes us. You never read a Kaiser melt? You haven't noticed how we own gay jokes like it's our N word? Or how even old Aggies tell Aggie jokes? We cannot be called thin skinned by anyone.

Based on what?

I mean other teams have done it and succeeded (thinking of Arky here), other teams have done it early and failed huge (USCe just last year). I don't think it can be called a original idea or a genius one. I think it can be called a justification for a lack of a real cohesive strategy but that is just my opinion.

I am always happy to lend some brain power to fellow Ranters. It's a cheap gift.

It's a real possibility. If Strong doesn't get to a ten win season with a bowl win, I could see them entering the Tom Herman sweepstakes.

USCe doesn't have LSU's players.
And our coach didn't quit on us after an arse whipping.
At worst we finish 7-5. Who knows maybe we can get to 9-3 with the right offensive adjustments.

What does that have to do with how long job is on the market?
