Maybe you guys should try it more. You haven't won a national championship since an Auburn Alum roamed your sidelines. He also has his name on half of the SEC championships residing in Athens.

no you havent

As has already been mentioned, the only real hate comes from Florida. Sure, you have the UGA fans who relish the thought of beating an alum. Alabama fans mostly look at the whole situation with amusement. 117 points in the last 3 games against teams Muschamp has been associated with isn't going to put fear into any fan's hearts.

He's a great D Coordinator, but a gigantic POS. The manner in which is left Florida only solidified that.

What happened when he was fired at UF that makes him a POS?

There's a difference in a guy leaving a school and deciding to make something better of himself by heading to Athens, and players getting kicked out of UGA for rule violations and being swooped up by the penal outpost in opelika.

Seriously, why are so many Arky posters trolls? Its not just a Malzahn thing. So many posts are laden with bullshite that it's become a characteristic of the fanbase, and it seems unique to them. It's very odd.

He looks like a fat Paul Simon and we're all Art Garfunkel fans and blame him for breaking up the band.

Look at the schools that troll the hardest; arkansas, tennessee, ole miss, missouri...

now look at what those programs have accomplished in the last decade. Your answer lies within.

He tore into his tight end (Westbrook?) on the sideline for not catching a ball, in his last game as coach and then threw him under the bus in the post game--basically saying "you're kn scholarship at Florida, you're supposed to catch the ball." Clearly ignoring the irony that when you're the head coach at Florida your duties are to, at a minimum, not lose to GA Southern.

Then he made some comment about his own POS player Willis about a cheap shot on Jameis Winston, saying that if he were still the head coach, Willis would be thrown off the team. This is despite the fact that Willis had multiple serious infractions under Muschamp and was allowed to stay.

He s a very good DC. I would take him at LSU right now. he would be a good fit.

The hate is due to him sucking as a HC

There are season where that ranking is bit inflated.

2010 Texas for example. Never gave up 40+ but the team went 5-7 and he they gave up 34, 28, 28, 30, 39, 33, and 24 points in loses.

So its not like that was a dominant defense, just no insane blowouts.

Lookat Florida this year

30 point to LSU at home.
42 to alabama, 42 to missouri.

combining that with a high speed offense that doesn't have a ton of TOP and you have to wonder about the marriage of philosophies. Personally i question how 2 of the best DCs will handle being on teams with high paced offenses that put a ton of time and pressure on the defense.

I have watched Chavis Defenses play really poorly when left on the field. Even talented ones.

People buy into Gus's press conferences rather than looking at reality. AU only runs fast pace situationally. We were middle of the pack in TOP the last 2 years, both of which were better than 2010 when we won a nc.

We were also middle of the pack in total plays.

Can you read? If so, read the thread title. That's what this thread is about. OP asked why the Muschamp hate, so I answered him. The thread is not "tell us what you like about Muschamp so Auburn fans can feel good about him"

No hate here. I like Boom. I'm jealous that y'all got him. I'd love to have him back at LSU.
