Does this make any sense? Does homecoming really even mean sh!t other than banners on sorority houses? Someone educate me on this.

Get alumni on campus. Throw special functions for 'em and kiss their arse, putting 'em in a good mood. They get to watch their football team kick arse, putting 'em in a better mood. Then hopefully they donate some money. Rinse. Repeat...at least that seems to be the plan...

Gives you an opportunity to play all of your seniors that may not see PT while not having to do it during the last game of the season (which for most is in-state rivalry/decently important games).
UK has a bunch of non-Greek, alumni events that go along with the homecoming game.

Ok, here we go.
Homecoming is just what it says. Homecoming. It is for alums, not students. Students are there to make sure alums coming back to school have a good time.
With that, who the hell would feel like partying, having a good time with old friends and going to alumni functions after a loss?
