Nick Saban: the endgame isn't important. What's important is every day, every way, the right way.

I thought you'd say "he doesn't kiss his players on the cheek like Herman does"

Exactly. Every game is approached the same way. Work to be the best no matter what day it is. One game is not more important than the other. I think that has helped us. Former Bama players that coached preached the Auburn game and I think it tightened us up. Tyler watts said DuBose was obsessed with tennessee and it created a one game season and hurt Bama.

JPW had a good story on when the program turned. Most say it was the UGA game in 2008. Nope. JPW said in 2007 players were pushing back. Practices were too hard, Saban expected too much. After the ULM game Saban came in and was almost happy. He told them the way this program would operate was not up for debate. You could do it his way or you could leave.

He said when they gathered in Shreveport for the Colorado game everything had changed. For whatever reason guys showed up ready to be coached. Bama won a game they shouldn't have and set the wheels in motion. They saw he was right and if they listened to him many championships would follow.

Take you and your participation trophy arse elsewhere. Men appreciate and admire greatness... even if it is the enemy... not take it down a peg.

Yeah, a guy who has all of the players and staff who can't go home for Thanksgiving come to his house, where he and his wife provide a huge meal, is really a bully.

This.....even Patton admired Rommel, however he studied him so closely that he learned how to whip his arse.

This is a tired narrative. If you have ever led anything or anyone, you would know that the more you sweat in preparation, the less you'll bleed on the field.

Every coach says the same shite at every level in every sport. He is the greatest but I think it has more to do with the fact that half his defense could make an NFL roster today, maybe more. He does do a great job of eliminating distractions for his team and his level of focus is very impressive. Most people call that being weird but when Saban does it he is a genius. Props to Saban, I just want to take him down this year, after that he can go back to dominating.

What an inspiring movie that would make! Who would play Saban? How about Saban! THEN he could put an Oscar for Best Actor in his trophy case.

He bullies them into winners. You keep on loving on your losers. Let me know how that works out.
