Nebraska is literally the worst state in the union. If the NCAA want's this second tier sport to grow it seems like they would rotate the world series across different venues. Places like Yankee stadium, progressive field, fenway park, the cardinals stadium, etc.

I love how some people on here make the same argument about the SEC tournament being in Hoover and then turn around and get a boner thinking about Ohmaha, Nebraska

I don't think Yankee stadium ( or any other MLB park) would have any interest in host the college World Series. The average around 20,000 per game. That has been the same since 1996. Plus why would MLB want to have to calculate in a weeks worth of games in their schedule that has nothing to do with an MLB season. You could conceivably rotate the to cities with minor league teams, but the scheduling is still an issue ( see Missouri st ). But if your going to go to AAA parks why move from Omaha.
I Think it's pretty cool to have a destination championship locked in for lower tiered sports , it gives them an identity and allows a community to get involved and make it special. It's not like these sports are driving Millions of dollars anyway.

I like the SEC, having permanent locations for all their championships, like I said before it allows for an identity to be established and that city/ community can work on making that championship an experience to look forward to. I'm not sure that Hoover is the best permanent location for the tournament , but it's ok.

Because you fricking bucknut..........Omaha is pretty centrally located to the middle of America.........

What this means in a dumbed down format for you is that UCLA has to travel just about as far as Maryland.(1500 miles to 1150)

Ummmmmmm, no. "Literally the worst state in the union?" That would be the suckeye state of Oh-high-oh.

Print the t-shirts and the road signs. Oh, wait, that's already been done.

Ohio - suckeye state among absolute worst to live in the U.S.

I have always thought that Chicago would a great place to host the CWS.

In order to avoid too much brain damage on the MLB seasons you can split the games up between Wrigley and US Cellular.

hotels for visitors / easy public transit connecting the stadiums / great baseball town for more casual fans attending games / nightlife to attract more fans to visit.
