Sumlin is a dead man but Butch Jones isn't? Jones better win this year or he will be coaching FCS teams when the dust settles. He is awful.

Butch Jones has a borderline mentally retarded IQ and it comes out when people challenge him. That's why he punched his player in practice. He got frustrated when his words failed him.

You realize these same things were being said about Bama a few years back right?
UA's bad years were from 2000 to 2008, but since 1970 have been the most consistent winners in the SEC. I keep noting 1970 because it was when the SEC was integrated. Tennessee was the great white hope back in the early to mid 1900s. Since 1970 Tennessee is behind Alabama, LSU, Florida, Auburn, and tied with UGA with 5 SEC titles. 46, count em, years. That's no recent event or a bad run of luck.

Every relevant team needs a break from playing in the Rose Bowl (Pasadena, California) and the Fiesta Bowl (Glendale, Arizona) for 2 National Championships in the past five years.
It is very tiring winning SEC Championships and playing for the National Title 2 times in the past 5 years.
Remind me of what your school has done in that same time period.
Auburn's daddy, Alabama.
They don't seem to get tired of it either.

They are now, but that's not what was being said at the time.Just shows things change. Tennessee is now and always has been a HUGE part of the SEC. #2 only to Alabama. Every page in SEC history, since it's inception, has Tennessee in it somewhere.
p.s.-I hate them bastards.

I'm in my 30s and understand the respect factor.
I just choose to give them no respect.

You're all about being on a dick ,huh? I hate them as much as anybody. But it is what it is. Alabama, Tennessee, Auburn, L5U, Georgia, Florida, and as much as I hate to say it, Ole Miss, are all part of the backbone of the SEC. Always have been ,always will be.The rest of you can STSECDB.

Except Minnesota doesn't have the abilities to sustain success in the modern landscape, whereas Tennessee does. you can't recruit kids to Minnesota. Tennessee is positioned near several recruiting hotbeds and has the facilities, tradition, support, and budget to remain attractive to recruits. Not to mention it gives them the opportunity to compete in the SEC. We had a string of bad luck combined with a poisonous athmosphere in the administration which led to botching the fulmer departure and inability to recover after kiffin bolted. Dooley was a horrible hire and managed to set our program back even farther. Butch was questionable but has managed to flip the roster in an insane amount of time while recruiting at a high level and finally has us at the talent and depth level to compete. At the very worst he has left the cupboard stocked for the next guy and brought stability to a dumpster fire situation. We went from 2 coaches in 31 years to 4 coaches in 6 years. No program is equipped to handle that, and it takes time to recover. And yet still never managed a season like 2-10 or 3-9. We'll be fine.
