The schools are only 3.5 hours apart, so don't give me that "they're closer to Texas" crap. Arkansas is in the SEC. Players from the Midwest should be lining up with an opportunity to play in the best conference. This conference puts the most players in the NFL.

So why Arkansas? Why can't you recruit a top 10 recruiting class?

You have Walmart money. Great facilities. Even Oregon in the middle of nowhere can get guys nationwide.

How can the fat man recruit a hot wife, but not a decent football player?

Northwest Arkansas is nice area. Why do players want to go to a dust bowl that gets hit by F5s on the reg?

You have to drive through 100 miles of country to get to Auburn. They get players. They get players and beat your arse by 53 points. What gives?

Northwest Arkansas is a better location than Norman. Have you been to both places?

They're also in an easier conference.

Upvote. Although OU does have recruiting advantage of having been a winning program, Arky should be recruiting better than it has.

They should get muschamp after SC is done with him so they can have good talent then get a decent HC.

This didn't just start.Wes've never been a top recruiting school. The drop off in central Arkansas talent hurt us as much as anything.

Plus, Bret isn't willing to bring in criminals who could help win games like most schools do.

I usually don't pass up a chance to piss on Arky but I can't this time. If Oklahoma was in the SEC they would be lucky to make it to Birmingham Bowl each season.

Oklahoma has the tradition and support of a passionate alumni base

Arkansas has Walmart money that doesn't go to FB

NWA is extremely nice.. But it's still 3 1/2 hours from any other established civilization not named Tulsa. Let's not act like the Midwest is loaded with talent and going to Texas from NWA isn't a fun drive. 5 1/2 hours from Dallas.

Its just really difficult to sell when you're selling against OU, Texas, aTm, Alabama, LSU, etc that recruit the West really well

This . . . plus I don't think people realize how much North Texas/metroplex is an OU city much like Houston is a LSU city.

Bret isn't taking shortcuts at the risk of the program and the community.Plus the academic rate is higher.

I'm willing to have patience and see if his plan works in the long run.

We saw what a Petrino type hire gets us...a couple good years and an empty cupboard..

Well they are so...
Fayetteville is just about as close to St. Louis as it is to Dallas. Fayetteville is pretty much in the Midwest. I think it's an attractive town, but it's well off the beaten path for Texas recruits. OU doesn't have that problem. Lots of OU grads in Texas--tons more than Arkansas.

We're bringing in personal coaches and consultants to train Boom to be a good coach.

Oklahoma is more of a traditional power program than Arkansas is.

Texas
Oklahoma
Nebraska
Ohio State
Michigan
Alabama
Tennessee
USC

Arkansas? No way.
