Well, in a sense this is true. Border States are Kentucky, Missouri, and Maryland.
But of course Alabama and Tennessee do share a border.

It is not recent and has nothing to do with Kiffen. It goes way back and if you spend time with the more seasoned Tenn or Bama fans you'll understand .
