You still didn't comprehend what I posted.

Columbia Missouri and it's surrounding counties are in the heartowel of an area called little Dixie. There is nothing yankee about it frankly. Tells me you have never been there. I have been to college station and it is most definitely not "southern" anymore than Columbia is "yankee".

I'm happy to be out of a conference controlled by one school with its best bitch (OU), and a bunch of small market little brothers too weak to do anything about it.

If the majority of Southerners don't think Mizzou fits, that's more than OK. Just keep sending the checks. TIA.

I like the schedule in the SEC East more than anything the B1G could offer.

Southern Missouri is definitely southern as well. It is transition state. As you move to the North, it definitely changes a bit culturally.

Columbia is a very "progressive" town though. The small communities around Columbia can have some southern identities to them, but Columbia really doesn't.

Great place to live, work, and raise a family, but definitely different in my experiences from Tuscaloosa, Starkville, Oxford, etc.

I personally could care less about TV markets.

My team has the college football history and prestige to continue being competitive, we fans don't hide behind the TV market little brother logic and leach off of the success of others.

The OKC market is big enough for me, I definitely enjoy both OU and Thunder games.

which is exactly why people Mizzou and their fans are a bit of a weird fit for the SEC. College sports are an afterthought unless they're great. not the main attraction

It's not a bad thing, just a weird fit.

Dumbest thing SEC has ever done is admit Mizzou. They don't belong geographically, culturally, or athletically. Their football recruiting base is light years behind the real SEC. SEC brass needs to realize they made a mistake and politely ask them to look elsewhere.

also, I love how you act like we're bitter. OU has made the playoff and Final four since you moved on.

Oklahoma State may have the best major sport trio of coaches in college sports (football, basketball, baseball)

I tailgated in Tuscaloosa for #1 vs. #2 LSU/Bama in 2011 wearing my orange. I was in Tuscaloosa when we lost to Iowa State and when Bama got the rematch.

I took all the shite and (surprisingly)apologies from Alabama fans for that.

If I was gonna be bitter about, it is about being there for that.

The last thing I would ever be is bitter about seeing Mizzou get eaten up in a superior conference.

I'm just sharing my personal experiences here.

You joined TODAY and your first post was in a thread about Mizzou....

Mizzou beat that oSU arse in a cotton bowl and ended up 5th in the country since we have been "getting chewed up in the SEC"

Sure you pokes are bitter. The teams that had the ability to leave have left and your conference is much weaker because of it. Im sure you are white knuckling that Big 12 media grant of rights because when that expires you are toast.

holy crap.

I could've posted that for you. (predictable as fukk) Congrats on a good Cotton Bowl win. You guys had a good team then.

You still have not said anything about anything I posted. If you disagree, let me know. I would love to know where I am wrong. Come on. Help me out. Set me straight man.

Otherwise you look like an idiot

(and yes. I just joined here) good job pointing that out

You said we were getting chewed up in the SEC. We went 14-2 over a two year period in the SEC and beat your arse in a cotton bowl along the way.

Does that count as setting you straight?

You got smoked your first year. You had a nice 2 year run then regressed to where Big 12 fans expect Mizzou to be. (and yes, they expect oSu to be there too)

so back to my comments in this thread about Mizzou and their fit as an SEC school. Do you care to comment on anything I said? or continue to deflect?

also, tell the NBA fans about my "obsession about Mizzou". I think I spent most of my first day posting here posting about the NBA trade deadline

Because the rest of the SEC spends all of their time telling us we don't belong maybe? Just a thought.

Putting it in very simple but I believe accurate example. This was Missouri's first divorce. We had a 100 year marriage with several schools that we just ended. Yes our new opponents have more national appeal, but there's still memories and frankly the new wife has this weird confidence issue where she keeps insulting us and telling us how much better she is than us. Not really a great recipe for sparks.

A&M on the other hand is coming off its second marriage and if she's honest, her second marriage was a rebound. She loved her first conference (SWC), but the B12 was really nothing more than a rebound. The SEC is the trophy wife A&M has dreamed of as A&M lives next door to several snooty neighbors.

Give us a few decades to move on.

Mizzou will be back, we just had a mid-life crisis with the social justice crap. We ended up losing a coach of 15 years because of it. We will bounce back, just takes some time. I think the media scared Mizzou, it being a journalism school. They felt pressured to do the right thing in the eyes of the media, which wasn't the right thing. Hopefully Trump does some more purging and scolding of the MSM. Time will tell....
