He has 302 passing yds for the year. I know LF7 is a beast but LSU will need Harris in big games. You would think Les would allow for him to throw more to build his confidence and rapport with his WRs. Has LF7's success taken away the need for Harris to throw or is he a liability throwing the ball?

LSU will live and die on their reliance on LF7.

That being said he's the best individual athlete in the SEC.

But so was Johnny Manziel...

He's probably had about 150 called back on penalties.

Scruffy will give up all connections to LSU football the minute we start taking play calling advice from UF and its fans.

Exactly. LSU's sloppy play (penalties) camouflages their offensive capabilities.

Serioualy though, if you arw eating clock and racking up yards on stacked boxes, why switch? Games against decent competition are not the forum to practice for practice sake. This weekend is a different story as would have been McNeese.

Harris' development is being methodically laid out and it is to complement our offensive mentality which is a power run game.

What I have seen of Harris is good decisions and an ability if needed. He also runs well which will help us later.

And a few drops

To answer the OP I think it's more of a confidence issue than anything. We'll primarily rely on the run but Les and co would rather ease him into the game plan and get more attempts as the season goes on.

It just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to take the ball out your best players hands when he's gashing teams. Harris has shown he can throw the ball when nessecary and is making the right decisions. I think most LSU fans are pretty satisfied with the results.

He throws plenty. It is the completions (or lack thereof) that is the problem.

Worried? I'd be. What happens when Harris starts connecting? Ruh-Roh shaggy.

It's coming ... and somewhere deep inside you know it

I hate to say it but the truth is all Harris needs to do is throw at around 50% for 125-150 yards. With teams loading the box to attempt to stop LF, the corners are on an island.

The only surprising thing is that Harris hasn't thrown for more TDs. Getting one on one coverage. More than likely some of the receptions will increasingly turn into home runs.

Harris definitely not a liability throwing the ball. Has thrown some nice passes even though he hasn't thrown a lot of them. Hasn't needed to.

They aren't a flag football team is my guess.

Looks like a less-talented Jeremy Johnson.

Harris has looked good at QB. We just have a great running game.

I could give a flying eff who scores for LSU. As long as LSU has more points at the end of the game.

No doubt. I do think the lack of opportunities throwing the ball might hurt LSU at some point if Fournette gets "slowed down".

You do realize teams practice during the week, yes? It's not like Harris is throwing the ball 16 times on a Saturday and that's it for the week.
