Has he been offered any jobs? Outside of Fisher, Saban's assistants haven't exactly lit the world on fire.

Nah you can't use the NC he can get at Bama as a reason. He already has the rings as an assistant nothing more to accomplish on that front. There has to be more to it than that. He either doesn't want to be a HC, is scared to be HC, or is waiting for 1 or 2 HC dream jobs and will take nothing else. If he has the ego necessary to be a HC he doesn’t want to be the #2 man NC or not.

I can see him waiting out for his dream jobs, but honestly he won't be the next head coach of bama. I'm pretty sure Georgia let him know he's not going to be their next HC either...

In an insecure profession being in an absolute secure situation has to mean something. Really is crystal clear and no, he does not have to settle for a second tier job.

At this point, no. But he isn't going to make a lateral move. If a major program comes calling, he will take it, doubt Georgia would make that move, and Saban still has a few years.

I really wasn't trolling... forgot about Dantonio. Dooley and Muschamp are fricking terrible. Bobby Williams was pathetic too. I still don't know why Saban keeps that guy around.

who cares even if it were true? Auburn got a steal. Malzahn is a far better HC than Smart ever will be. He's proven it every where he's been while Smart only rides Saban's cape. You see what his last DC to get a HC job is doing at Florida...
