Why doesn't the SEC office schedule rivalries at the end of the year (non-FB)?

Why wouldn't you schedule rivalries at the end of the season? Set up the role of spoiler for those not having a great year. Give a focus for fans at the end of the season. End of the baseball season...

I would think they schedule the big series earlier so that students haven't left for the summer yet. I know that I enjoyed the OM series when it was on SBW.

Had massive crowds for SBW for TAMU. Rivalry might bring people after school is out.

Maybe. If I was still a student, I would rather it be during the school year since I lived in GA. The A&M series ended up being really big because it was a top 10 showdown. I don't know that we would've gotten that many had we played UT or Auburn
