Why do Tennessee Fans Never Talk About...

How terrible of an offensive coordinator hire they made.
Mike DeBord is their offensive coordinator. Here are some of his career accomplishments:
For the last three years, because he was unable to get a job as a coordinator or position coach for any team, he was the assistant administrator of Olympic sports at Michigan.
His last coaching job, he got fired from the Bears where he was their offensive line coach.
While the OC at Michigan over a decade ago, he managed to make possibly the greatest quarterback of all time, Tom Brady, look like a 6th round pick.
As a head coach at Central Michigan, he went 12-34 and was fired from his job.
This is how I envision the Tennessee fan base over the course of this season:

So you're saying he's like the offensive version of Kevin Steele?

If we're going off National Titles as coordinators, then Florida has 4 total championships on their staff. And a former head coach at the University of Miami who had a career record above .500 as a position coach. But go ahead and spin away.

But...but... but, I thought Brian Schottenheimer was the worst SEC OC hire of all time??

Sounds like you are making excuses for why you and your team suck.

I actually thought the Schotty hire was a really, really good one. I think he'll be better than Bobo in the long run if he stays there long enough. But I guess I'm in the minority on that one.

The thread is about Tennessee's OC, not Florida's vastly superior coaching staff. Stop deflecting and talk about the topic.

10 straight... If UF sucks, then UT is a black hole.
Butch is worse than Dooley and Muschamp.

That does not change the fact that UF sucks at a Vandy level now.
Meyer and Tebow are not coming back.

If you're going to troll, at least be somewhat good at it.
Oh wait, you're a Florida fan. You suck at life

Fact Check...
quote:
Mike DeBord is their offensive coordinator. Here are some of his career accomplishments:
For the last three years, because he was unable to get a job as a coordinator or position coach for any team, he was the assistant administrator of Olympic sports at Michigan...Actually, he was hired back by Michigan as the Administrator of Olympic Sports (not assistant administrator) in 2013 and was hired at UT in February of 2015...so he was only in that position for 2 years.
His last coaching job, he got fired from the Bears where he was their offensive line coach....He was the TE coach and was let go when they hired a new HC and staff.
While the OC at Michigan over a decade ago, he managed to make possibly the greatest quarterback of all time, Tom Brady, look like a 6th round pick....yes, but he also convinced the NFL that Brian Griese was worthy of a 3rd round pick. I would add that, had Brady been the #1 pick (deserving of "possibly the greatest QB of all time"), he would have been drafted by Cleveland or Washington. How many Super Bowls do you see him winning with the Browns? Remember, even though the Patriots missed the playoffs the prior year, they were 8-8...Cleveland was 2-14...so he can thank Debord for falling into the right spot for NFL success.
As a head coach at Central Michigan, he went 12-34 and was fired from his job....so, he is an OC who was fired as a HC. That is unheard of. Nobody has had success with coordinators that were poor HCs (LSU...both OC and DC; Bama, Florida; Auburn; all should take note).
