Its obvious bama has had more then a few major busts under Saban. Trent Richardson might be the biggest bust in NFL history. Why does this keep happening bammers?

Here's a few articles on the subject.

quote:

On an ESPN
conference call Wednesday afternoon, Kiper said the play of past Crimson Tide defensive players in the NFL who have been high draft picks will play into his evaluation of Clinton-Dix and Mosley.

"It is something you have to look at because there have been a host of players out of that Alabama defense that over the years have come in as high draft choices and, frankly, been major disappointments," Kiper said.

Kiper listed Rolando McClain, Kareem Jackson, Mark Barron, Dre Kirkpatrick and Terrence Cody as examples of Tide defensive stars who haven't played up to where they were drafted.

And NFL scouts are starting to take note by making “Nick Saban running backs” the league’s newest draft bugaboo following in the heels of “Penn State running backs,” “Florida wide receivers” and “Jeff Tedford quarterbacks” as groups of college players doomed for failure on Sundays.

They have to take a pay cut in pro ball and it makes them disinterested.

why are you an effin failure in life. A great majority that are drafted early are steady and good players. Please dont tell me someone who was a FA became a failure. or someone who was drafted in the 7th round is a failure.

dammmmmmmm guys I am sorry I fell for the troll

Better question. Why do Bama players succeed in college?

It is a high bust rate going from college to the NFL. Alabama just sends more players to the league so it is easy to notice.

Kareem Jackson has been pretty good after a rough couple of seasons to start. Same for Rolando. Barron has excelled since moving to linebacker.

Dareus and Hightower are all-pro level players.

Ingram was 14th in yards from scrimmage despite missing 4 games. Julio is at worst the second best player at his position.

Looks like they're doing fine to me.

Mark Ingram, Eddie Lacy, and TJ Yeldon are all starting RBs. Only Trent Richardson is a bust from Saban's recent backs. And that is rediculous on Bama's defensive players. We stock the NFL with super defensive guys every year. Hightower and McClain are starting MLBs. Marcel Darius, Courtney Upshaw are super DL and OLB and we have secodary all over that league.

Ridiculous topic. The percentage of elite NFL players in college is extremely low. Outside of a flukish aberration like 2001 Miami, a CFB team is only going to have a handful of elite NFL players on their roster no matter how talented they are. And how many schools have more top NFL players than Bama. I would say LSU and that's basically it.

Because college football is not NFL football? People kill me with the comparisons as college ball in no way reflects NFL football. Some big recruits do well of course but more often than not they do not. Way it is
