I live in Austin and the little brother syndrome of A&M is real. The only thing I've seen close to it was Michigan State when I lived in Chicago.
At the end of the day, everyone in the country knows who the team in Texas is. The "older and larger" comments are tired and feed the little brother stereotype.

The University of Tennessee was a college before Texas was a state, yet nationwide I would be 8/10 fans associate "UT" with Texas. It's just the way it is..do you really think anyone nationwide thinks A&M is the premier school in the state of Texas?

Not when I was traveling around the state from 2008 -2011. Never saw aggie stuff. Not even around Houston. May have changed since then.
