Why didn't Saban have more success at LSU?

One NC in 5 years, only one season with less than 3 losses.

In comparison, he won 3 NCs in his first 6 years at Bama.

Also the SEC wasn't as strong back when he was at LSU at it is now.

He was At Bama 3 years after he left LSU, he got that much better in 3 years? I doubt it.

he had name recognition when he went to bama, plus a Natty under his belt. lot easier to get recruits that way.

its not rocket science.

To be fair, he is directly responsible for the 2007 title

LSU was a dumpster fire when he was hired on. It was a complete rebuild. He wasn't a proven coach yet so he was not getting GOAT recruit classes right off the bat.

No doubt in my mind that had he stayed he would have won 2/3 between on 05-07. Only thing that would have stopped that 05 team was Katrina.

it would have been interesting to see how he handled Jamarcus vs Flynn

So was Alabama we were just coming off probation and had sucked since the early 90's.

To be fair? I will concede that Saban laid the pavement but by no means does he deserve a lick of recognition for it.

When he left LSU we were a loaded gorilla with a chainsaw for a penis. The talent on the 05 and 06 teams were insane.

He wasn't exactly the biggest name in coaching when he got to Alabama either.

A lot of Bama fans wanted us to hire Rich Rod instead of Saban at the time.

I just think the guy is wrong. He had LSU setup to make a Bama type run and he bolted

He won in 03
04 he leaves us
but those 05 and 06 teams with Nick would have been deadly.

If you are trying to troll just say it so we stop giving serious responses. He was more proven when he went to Bama so it shaved off about 1-2 years of the rebuild process. Plus Bama was in better shape to start. The foundation for an LSU Saban dynasty was set when he left.
