Look up the town of Nauvoo, Illinois. Read about what happened to the Mormons there. Then you'll realize how terribly hypocritical the Mormons were to use that name for the militia who committed the massacre at Mountain Meadows.

2. The LDS (Mormons) believe that the "last temple" built will be in Independence, MO not KC. But the Community of Christ denomination owns over 40 of the 60+ acres needed to build that temple and the CoC despises the LDS Church.
3. Most BYU students know little if anything about any of this. It, along with most true LDS doctrines, are NOT taught widely by the LDS Church.
