Why did Mizzou extend Pinkel and give him more money?

He isn't going anywhere else at his age. Reminds me of Hamilton doing the same thing for Fulmer when he was never leaving Tennessee.

You're right, but he earned it. Why not?

So what? He's not leaving. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve it.

Fulmer "deserved" it after the 04 SEC East winning season. He then got lazy after getting a big raise and extension.

He was already filthy rich. I don't think being slightly more filthy rich will cause him to get lazy. He wants a title before he's done. He's still at the top of his game.

He's a Jimmy Sexton client, not much more to say.

It should remind you of that because the situations of paying a man at towards the end of their careers for bringing the school the most success they had ever seen in the sport is the common bond between the two situations.

If that was true, he would have accepted on the the few job offers that would had made it possible over the years.

Why do Tennessee fans hate Fulmer so much? You figure with 20/20 hindsight the Dude was a god.

Because he has won two Easter Division titles. Something Butch only talks of doing.

Why? He's been a half of football away from the NC game twice since he's been here. He wants to bring a title to COMO

LOL.

He's never taken Mizzou to a major bowl, but was some how a half away from a MNC appearance.

That's actually true, Dale...and you know it.

Somehow kansas was able to actually screw us out of the Orange Bowl that year even though we beat them and only had one more loss than them because we lost the conference championship game which means we had to play an extra game than kansas.

That's bullshite and you know it, but it was how shite was done back then.

A couple years after OU lost to KSU yet still managed to play for a MNC?

You are not a half away from a NC, lose, then find yourself in a bowl like the Cotton Bowl.

Yes, you are. Why are you digging your heels in on this? You are wrong.

Had we won the 2007 Big 12 championship game, we would have played for the NC. Had we won the 2013 SEC championship game, we would have played for the NC. Those are facts.
