Why did CBS pick up the Auburn Georgia game instead of Arkansas LSU?

Evidently they must not get the top 2 games picks. They must get the top, then ESPN gets the 2nd choice, then CBS gets 3rd.
I know LSU fans are not sad about this, but AU fans may be.

It's a travesty Arkansas/LSU isn't on CBS at 1:30 the day after Thanksgiving.

There was a 6 day hold on the 2:30 CBS game and 6:15 ESPN game due to the Alabama v. LSU contest. Winner would get the 2:30 slot.

yea,I'm sure our AD and SID begged the SEC and CBS to move a home game up to 11 in the morning.

That is correct.
ESPN gets the second choice this week. CBS was going to choose the winner of the Bama-LSU game, and ESPN as the second choice was going to get the loser.

While I don't support the suggested start time, I agree wholeheartedly with the rest of this. I always loved Arkansas as the last game of the year. It was/is an exciting and competitive series. It's honestly the closest feel to a rivalry game we've had besides Ole Miss since Tulane started sucking. (Yeah there's the Bama game but that's all about Saban for people here, it's not about the teams).
For some reason this game never got the respect it deserves from LSU fans. I still think if Arky actually had ruined our NC hopes in 07 we would hate them more. (Not that I'm not happy the way that played out anyway.)
Until Arkansas v LSU, A&M v Texas, and Kansas v Mizzou are the rivalry week games again for these schools college football will not be what it should be, IMHO.
