Same reason we shite canned RC. Auburn refused to settle for good and strived for great.

Chizik/Malzahn won them an actual National Title unlike Tuberville. Why should they care?

Well because AU aspires to higher standards bro. They don't accept 5-7 records. So after this season I fully expect them to shite can Gus.

Because we have the second worst run AD in the SEC. We have the worst athletic director and our BOT is a dumpster fire. They were out to get Tuberville from the start because he wouldn't let their whining asses on the sideline. They hired a yes man in Chizik and the jury is still out on Malzahn. Thank goodness we aren't Tennessee, though.

Why is Cincinnati 3-2?

Now this is a melt that will tide me over until Saturday night. Thanks brother.

Because he was washed up.
Ask any Auburn fan if they would make the same decision again and 95% of them would say yes

3-2 might actually be important here.

I thought he did well at Auburn. And that is an understatement.
"Strive for excellence", hell didn't he go undeafeted? That would've garnished him with a chance to at least try n get a Natty these days.
He was the only laid back dude amongst the SEC coaches, and he competed while using table-scraps
i miss em

Saban made their arse quit him!

Tuberville wouldnt allow the boosters to run the program. So they brought in a puppet who would. Boosters ran wild getting them a Cam-pionship*.

its like being the owner of a great deer lease and having a member of your camp shoot a 14 inch 8 point. You slow grin frick him until that bonfire whisky fight. Regardless the outcome, you send that sumbitch packing. End of story. Next

Not 100% true, although he did take a lot of under the radar type guys. Tubby's recruiting was basically the trifecta of not having to try:
A) he got fat off Bama being down and on probation. AU got the majority of the talent in state pre-Saban. He was getting guys that have been cornerstones of Saban's dynasty at Bama. For example as juniors in HS Julio Jones and Courtney Upshaw were considered AU locks until Saban was hired.
B) He was a good talent evaluator and took a lot of lower rates guys because they were easy. But they weren't really "scraps" like you said, just under the radar. Guys like De'Runnya Wilson who are currently tearing it up elsewhere would be at AU under Tubs.
C) he took high rated guys that were locks. Guys that wanted to come to AU anyway that he didn't have to work for, and left overs in Georgia that UGA didn't have room for.
Saban came in and locked down all the top in-state recruits for the first few years, and also started to take a lot of guys from Georgia that AU used to get. Tubs basically stopped trying to recruit even more than before and the roster was depleted and we were falling farther and farther behind, and THAT is why we fired Tuberville

idk, i loved the guy. if he was a little more motivated towards recruiting i honestly feel hed be a top 3 HC all time. always performed better than his roster said he should. dropped more than a few we shouldn't have, but won more than a few we shouldn't have, too. Give me tubs an an all star line up of Assistants who can recruit over anybody. He def had the " daddy" vibe with his teams, you knew who was in charge, and the players were always trying to make daddy happy. they seemed to care a lot more after screw ups, less " me" mentality.

Exactly. We got rid of him to hire somebody who was previously 5-19 as a coach and then a high school coach after he failed.

Auburn didn't. Saban did.

Man I'm grateful that Julio and Courtney came to Bama!
