Why can't Arkansas get over the hump

in football? They got the whole state to themselves (no in state threat), they have good facilities and are a good brand.
But it seems they get close then just shite all over themselves.

Having the support of the entire state is awesome. The problem is that it is a state of about 2 million people that produces very few D-1 Prospects.
