Why Bert isn't successful

He's a slouch, and a slob. He's completely let himself go. If he can't take care of himself, how can he take care of a football program?
If he can't be bothered to eat healthy food and at least look like he bathes, then how is he supposed to be an effective coach?
All the best coaches I've ever known have been extremely detail oriented, and this starts with #1, themselves!
John Wooden, Phil Jackson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Bear Bryant, Geno Auriemma, Greg Popovich, Nick Saban... All these guys brush their teeth, comb their hair, and don't look like they just rolled off the couch, grabbed a bacon double cheeseburger supersized meal and came to coach football.
I would seriously be embarrassed if this guy were the face of my program.

I'm convinced that half the people on this board that talk about how fat Bert is are also fat fricks. the only difference is their wives are too.

I disagree. I would be willing to bet that there definitely is an inverse relationship between intelligence and obesity. Also, in order to succeed in the SEC you basically have to be at least a top 5% coaching talent. In order to be in the top 5% or your profession, I'd wager that you have to be somewhat neurotic to drive your restless desire for perfection. Neurotic people are naturally uncomfortable, so it's doubtful that they would be comfortable being a fat slob. How many neurotic and highly intelligent people do you know that are obese? I rest my case.

Q1) How many successful CEOs are you aware of that are fat slobs?
Q2) How how many of the last 10 National BCS Championship coaches are well groomed and minimally fit?
