No, it means this:

"We rule this state" and them you hit the skids and return to laughingstock status.

"Klanhorns are racist" then an aggy sends a letter to your football coach including the ultimate racial epithet.

"We are the most loyal fan base in the country" and then your ticket sales plummet.

"Texas fans have football tickets on sale for $10" and then aggy has loads up for grabs at $5.

"Longhorns can't hire anyone because of too much meddling" then an aggy regent calls for the black aggy coach's head on Facebook in a drunken post.

I could keep going...

Consensus on tRant was 8-4/9-3 so how is that not "admitting it"?

Quiet, son, the adults were talking. Basketball practice doesn't start for another month.

We'll call you when we're ready for you. Until then, go in your room, get your mat and take your afternoon nap.

mean its funny and all that LSU fans thought Coach O was decent,

Whats funny is that the SEC Rant has constructed this narrative that LSU fans supported and we're happy about the Coach O hire. Look up threads from when it was starting to become clearer that he was going to get the job and once he finally did get the job. There was pretty big melt over hiring a proven loser that wasn't even good enough for Ole Miss.

Mizzou had to go internal after the protest. The timing was not right for a splash hire then.

Pinkel was told to resign or be fired...there was plenty of good reasons. Pinkel's last two years of recruiting SUCKED. Why? We joined the SEC and he decided to focus on SEC states (but not TX) for recruiting. His really BIG, BIG mistake was pulling out of Texas after years of developing recruiting relationships there. The contributed greatly to his 5-7 last year, 4-8 last year and now probably 2-10 this year.

We're fricked for a while.

The decision is decided. O is here to stay because LSU cannot afford to buy him out.

How old is the OP? I'm thinking mid-30s or younger because he doesn't seem to have a sense for how bad things really can get a Missouri. Their current state would have been celebrated as a major achievement 20 years ago. Missouri is capable of fielding a good program (or they were, before all the SJWs came crawling out of the woodwork), but they are also capable of futility that would make an experienced Vandy fan feel sorry for them.

Maybe, but the difference is we are at the end of our rope and want Sumlin fired. He will be unless he turns it around and wins 10. LSU on the other hand just hired O and is stuck with him for a few years while paying Miles too.

You're correct. Im not gonna lie its gonna suck. Told every one last year after miles wad canned that they better becareful. Just because were changing coaches doesn't mean it will be for the better.

Our program will be set back for decades? Thanks for the insight Nostradamus. Some of you on here are over reactionary and delusional.

Please, the only thing that hurt Missouri, and probably was a factor in Gery leaving was the Texas talent you enjoyed recruiting as a member of the big 12 went away. Just look at your current roster, and compare it to the roster the year you jumped.

the ironic thing is Missouri jumped for fear that the entire process was tumbling down, it was a knee jerk reaction because of all of the rumor of conference expansion, etc. And everyone who follows the Big 12 (and the Big 8 before it) already knew what Missouri really wanted was an invite to the Big 10. That is what they had hoped they would be offered. In hindsight they, along with Nebraska should have stayed put.

Missouri has no historical ties to the SEC. To try and pigeonhole the school into those of the deep South was a mistake. Everything that they ever achevied took place within the parameters of the old Big6/8.except the two east titles they managed while the east side of the SEC was in somewhat of a disarray.

Now, aggy? They are basically the same no matter which conference they are in. Other then the FED-EX years they have been a .650 team. They will continue to be a .650 team forever. To hear the fanbase tell it they are a premiere job. But to those who follow football closely know that they are at best a jump off school slightly better then a non P5 program, but nothing like the high end schools. They most definitely should have stayed pat. They simply traded a century of football to change from one master (Texas) to another (Alabama). And really haven't gained anything. And to hear the fanbase rave about the success' of the other SEC schools while they are continually failing to put a good product out is quite amusing.

Look at it this way. Their greatest player in the entire history of Texas A&M, Johnny football managed a single win against the best in the SEC west. And even with him at QB they couldn't even win the West, much less a conference or national title. Let that sink in for a minute.

Great post. The only thing I can add to this (the ironic thing is Missouri jumped for fear that the entire process was tumbling down) was that Colorado did the very same thing.

Aggy and Nebraska left because of peevishness (and small penises).
