Why are there so many former Big 10 players on ESPN's CFB coverage?

The only SEC guys they have on national coverage are Jesse Palmer and David Pollack. Meanwhile, they have Todd Blackledge (Penn State), Joey Galloway (Ohio State), Desmond Howard (Michigan), Brian Griese (Michigan), Kirk Herbstreit (Ohio State), Robert Smith (Ohio State) and Chris Spielman (Ohio State) on ESPN. It seems like there are more former Big 10 players on ESPN than every other conference combined. Where are the former LSU players or Arkansas players or Tennessee players covering games for ESPN and being a major voice in their CFB coverage?
