Defense if fairly soft, head coach seems like he has no clue what he is doing at times, and Trevor Knight hasn't done a thing as A&M's starting quarterback yet, so I'm not sold on the Aggies.

They have potential, but until they improve on both sides of the ball, I'm going to be hesitant to believe that they are a true force in the west.

Maybe because their QB threw 40 passes last year and only had 22 completions with a 1:2 TD to interception ratio.

We have a completely new OC.

-Auburn has been picked as a sleeper
-A&M has been picked as a sleeper
-LSU has been picked as a favorite
-Alabama is Alabama
-Ole miss is a legit contender
-Arkansas can beat anyone when they decide to

^ welcome to the Wild Wild West...
No Kentuckys, South Carolinas, Missouris, or Vanderbilts to rule out here.

Could A&M make noise? Yes
But what do you expect people to project A&M to be? Look at that list

Sorry MSU, you are still better than most of the east though

2nd best WRs and until the DL can prove they can stop the run then I'd say they're not top 4.

Easily the best and deepest WRs, and our struggles against the run weren't because of the DL, it was starting backups across the board at LB all last season.

Because they aren't that good. The secondary is better, the DL is top notch, and then it ends there. OL won't stop bama and LSU. LBs are meh. No depth or any talent in the running game. And knight is just "ok" if you ask me. They could go 10-2, but that's their peak and that's with the ball bouncing their way a lot, IMO. I will say they have a nice WR core.

8-4 or 9-3 IMO

Well we have notoriously not lived up to expectations in the past.

Hopefully the improved depth and improved coordinators can lead us to fulfill the potential this team has

This hire will decide Sumlins future
If Mora blows up Noel week 1 it could be a long year but they do have the talent to win

I agree with you. But the UCLA game won't decide the season. The Auburn, Arky, and Tennessee games are what will set the tone...

there's having running backs and then there's having depth at running back

LSU has depth at QB if we are going on number of players. But it sure doesn't feel like it…

Heard Lance Taylor from JOX FM in Birmingham today on national radio, and he said A&M is his sleeper in the west

Said if they get great QB play he could see the LSU game determining who represents the west

I actually agree with him. Think too many people are chalking up A&M as an easy win.

They have a very experienced and good QB

Arguably the best WRs and DL in SEC.

O line is stacked too.

Just saying, I could easily see 9-3 or 10-2 for them. I think they beat auburn and they get Tennessee the week before Tennessee plays Bama.

I agree with all this. But are you serious about the o-line being stacked? Besides the LBs I figured the oline is the biggest question

please provide me with what you believe TAMU's top 2 RBS final stats will be. Because all I see is role players on your depth chart. Which is fine for your offense, mind you.
