Why are LSU fans so obsessed with TSIO rivalry status?

Because they so badly want to be considered Alabama's biggest rival. So they keep tabs on Bama's actual rivalries.

I don’t think anyone’s obsessed with this yearly snooze fest. I can say with confidence that almost no one outside of Bama and Tenn care about this game. It hasn’t been competitive in a very long time. If Tenn ever gets back to being a decent team, interest will increase.
