Why are LSU fans so afraid of UGA?

I sense nothing but dread and fear from the inbred Cajuns since UGA waltzed over a team that demolished their little kitties a week prior.
But I can't help but wonder why? It's not like LSU is ever going to win the West and face them in ATL. And a regular season match up is years away.
Is it because a successful Kirby Smart means the Saban coaching tree keeps bearing fruit, thereby magnifying the greatest coach of this era? Or does a successful UGA future marginalize LSU in terms of exposure and credence?
LSU's ship is taking on water and beginning to list. LSU has underachieved this decade, considering they are the only major player in a talent rich state. Big money boosters are upset. Maybe they should focus on that.

A good UGA Team strengthens Conference Perception and refutes the arguments of some that the SEC is the fourth or fifth best conference.

I think they respect Kirby and Bama/UGA has never been a huge rivalry.
Also, I think they believe a strong UGA in the East will strengthen the playoff chances of the winner of the presumed SECCG meetings between the two.

We're all pulling for you.
Our Fricking cross division rivals have barely made it interesting since Rocky block, a mulligan killed LSU, the barn had 2010 but needed a kick six walk off to make any noise since ... if not for an Ole Miss flash in the pan that led to nothing (twice) and one good UA-UGA SEC Cg, it would be a bit boring over last 5 yrs
