Why are bama fans so obsessed with pumping up the Saban era at LSU?

Serious question. Nobody denies we were in a bad place when he was hired. Nobody disputes that he did a wonderful job for the 5 years he was here. Why do Bama fans have to try to pretend they were bigger or a more important 5 years than they actually were? Let it go guys.

Another flattering, approval seeking thread from an LSU fan. What is going on today? I guess LSU fans will finally feel good about being an elite program when the Bama fans recognize them and their coach as such.

I don't know what that's supposed to mean or why you would take this thread that way. It's a serious question but if you don't want to answer it then I guess that's your prerogative.

Oh the irony of this phrase in yet another LSU fan post about Saban.

Why do you feel the need to shove your head up an elephant's arse?

Personally, idgaf what Saban did for LSU. Happy now?

I guess I shouldn't be surprised at these kinds of a responses. It's such a shame that a person can't just ask a simple question here and get some honest feedback in return.

Link? Any comment I've seen regarding this is in response to some obsessed LSU fan talking about Saban, or how LSU made Saban. Then there are the other 100 threads on Saban started by LSU fans where no mention of his time at LSU is brought up by Alabama fans. So this thread is hillariously ironic.

You throw shite up against the wall.
What do you expect in return?

Fine here is your answer: I don't really care but I would venture to guess a lot of Bama fans feel the need because a lot of LSU fans continue to obsess over Nick Saban and cry over him breaking up with them when he found someone better. Bama fans in turn like to remind LSU fans of who made their program. Does that answer the question?

And many of you were saying how Miles would fall on his face by now.
What's up with that?

The same reason they have to claim more NCs than they actually won ... inferiority complex.
They've loss 2 in a row to LSU and 9 of the last 12.
They need to do this. Please let them.

These threads have been commonplace since the inception of the SEC Rant. In fact, the entire existence of the SEC Rant is partially rooted in the never ending stream of these threads coming from Alabama fans on the tiger rant.
