People like to seize on trendy picks that are a little different. Draws in viewers, has upside with no real downside because we don't hold them accountable.
Auburn in spring was the trendy pick. LSU is over the last couple of weeks.

Brandon Harris was the missing factor. Pundits feel he is loaded with talent, but really wasn't ready last year. My opinion only but I am guessing since he got the nod to start that means he is ready to lead this team.
They already have a very good running game, and you add in a decent to good passing game with Harris ability to stretch plays and run, their O could be very potent.
There D will be very good to great so it is easy to see why the sudden love for LSU and I can't say I can blame them. I personally think Harris is loaded with talent. Can he match it with mental toughness? If yes they can score 30-40+ points avg.
My opinion of course

Good defense and a good running game with a QB who has really good potential. I'd think nearly every ranter on here knows LSU could be very good this year if some things go their way, but not everyone believes it will. We'll see.
