I will answer your question with a question. Who was ranked number 1 in the AP poll last?

38 All Americans for MSU. Put State in A&M's former leagues and we'd look a lot more alike.

BTW, the issue w/the All American thing is actually pretty simple now that I look at it more closely.

The stat in the graphic is for Consensus All Americans.

quote:

Each year different sets of All-American teams are recognized toward consensus and unanimous selection recognition. A "unanimous selection" is a player who is listed as a first team All-American by all recognized lists. A "consensus All-American" is a player who is listed as a first team All-American by at least half of the recognized lists. All-America teams are selected annually in various collegiate sports.

State because no one actually believes it but that was the point of this thread.

I might be able to like MSU a little if they would lose those dang illegal noise makers that the NCAA turns a deaf ear to

Everything about ATM is better, but they are too cult like, so I'll go with state on this one...

Now the old SWC was a power back in the day and with that being said aTm was not a consistent player back then even.

TAMU--12th man, way better stadium, someone left Bama to coach there, better recruiting

MSU--slightly better results lately

Winner--Aggies by a mile

More respected? Seriously? The school that overachieves, or the one that has historically squandered myriad inherent advantages. Give me a break. MSU ant it isn't close.
