If (LOL) Texas fires Strong, this article says Freeze and McElwain may be on the shopping list.

Try not to get your hopes up, you two.

But a poster yesterday, said they were going to hire Nick Saban. I didn't see his name mentioned.

OK. Where do I post articles that talk about SEC football coaches?

Well Strong was anything but their first (or second or third or fourth) choice last time.
So I'm sure they're vetting a lengthy list of candidates this go-round.

Something that has to do with changes of coaches perhaps?

Maybe a coaching changes forum?

Fair enough.

Jesus, too many subRants for an Aggie to think through.

Why you think the HBC is hanging around UF?

To watch you guys generate just enough offense to edge out Vandy at their hostile home environment?

Better than, let's say Georgia did against Vandy. UT better be afraid of Vandy, very afraid.

Why fire Strong if your just going pull for straws? Not bad mouthing McElwain or Freeze but you want a guy that will fall forward after Ol Miss gets slapped down by the NCAA who's never been consistent with top 10 talent or a guy who's been head coach at Florida for two years from a short stint with Colorado State after Bama. Texas is going to frick this up and I can't wait.

Would love to see you guys get into a bidding war for Saban's services though. Would be fun to see which group of boosters would whore itself out the most?

Serious question, though, hypothetically if there were to be a bidding war between Texas and Alabama for Saban's services, what number do you think would be Bama's walk away number? I think Bama's pain threshold would be north of 12 million and south of 15 million

Like I said, don't think Texas is interested and I don't think Saban would be either, but , Saban was "bought" once by Wayne Huizenga.

Well I suppose it is better than hiring coaches under false pretenses like the Ponies did in 02.

Do you really believe that?

They better not get rid of Charlie. He was their 7th, 8th or 9th choice.

I just saw Fran at the San Marcos Walmart shopping the mark down rack for orange t shirts..
