How could you possibly know that? You realize what people say on message boards has absolutely ZERO reflection on what the coaches and players are thinking?

Tabor talks a lot and quite often. He's really quite blunt about his feelings.

You're going to be disappointed

This is exactly why fans melt so hard after losses. Unrealistic expectations and no respect for the opponent

Perhaps Tabor has, like the rest of us, listened to unwarranted hype spewing from Vol fans and national pundits all offseason. Despite Florida beating Tennessee last year, and the 10 years prior to that, Tennessee gets the hype while Florida, the defending East champions, sit in the dark forgotten about.

Perhaps it's less about Florida feeling like it's their birthright to beat Tennessee, and more about Florida ready to once again prove the respect and hype for Tennessee is an offseason fallacy. Maybe after Florida makes it 12 in a row and two straight trips to Atlanta, then we'll see the Gators getting the respect they deserve.

You're jealous that we're ranked higher than you? That's not disrespect. That ranking is based on your team falling apart without Grier. It has nada to do with us and a whole lot to do with Michigan and your other end of season games.

The fact that you think this year is all based upon hype is exactly the kind of attitude I'm talking about. We have a legit roster, a decent schedule, and the experience to win this year. It's not a secret or based on myth -- the perennial hype you believe in has never existed (not once have we been picked to win the East since Fulmer was forced out).

I think the problem for UF this year is that they come into our house entitled and thinking it's their birthright to win. Jalen ("Teez" or whatever else he's calling himself now) Tabor has expressed that attitude all offseason. They will be pumped to beat us but they don't respect us as an opponent or a program and respect for what your opponent can do is a necessary part of good preparation. When you think you can't lose you don't prepare for a lot of things, you don't work as hard in practice, the weight room, or film study and you get lazy. You could do that in years past and beat us because the talent and coaching differentials were simply too much to overcome but you can't be lazy when preparing for this team. They are too talented and too hungry. And yes, they are even well-coached despite popular tRant opinion.

You might have a point if Tennessee wasn't receiving any praise or preseason accolades.

I don't think Florida took Tennessee lightly last year at all and I certainly don't think thats the case this time around either.

The thing that people don't mention about UF this year is that they are being completely overlooked. When is the last time a Division champ who won 10 games is being considered an afterthought with the talent UF has? And yes, some people have picked UF to repeat in the East.

But when the talk is about Tennessee, and justifiably so considering they have the most returning starters in the East with the most talent (on paper), I don't think UF will be "lazy" in preparation for this game.

They have circled September 24th, just like Tennessee has. Both sides know its a critical game that could affect the rest of the season.

I don't think that any Florida player or fan is jealous of Tennessee. Not one.

When you lose 11 straight years to the same team, it's safe to assume that you are just the inferior program. The fact that Florida has made a member of the Big 6 (and Alabama too, for that matter) an inferior program for over a decade is incredible. The perennial hype surrounding Tennessee is obvious. You see it on the Rant daily, from the media daily, and hear it from your fans daily. Every single offseason. The hype is heightened this year, but it's the exact same team that lost 4 games last year. Same choking coach, same average QB with a below average arm, same good but not great running back, and the same limited receivers. The only thing different is a defensive coordinatior that inherits talent, but no more talent than Florida or Georgia have on defense.

The hype is unwarranted. Undeserved. A joke. And it will continue to be that until Tennessee can win on the field and not just on message boards.

This is simply untrue both in terms of hype which you falsely believe and in terms of team.

Oh, I dunno.

No Florida player has ever played on an undefeated team. Big chip on that shoulder.

Didn't Florida go undefeated in the 90's with Wuerffel?

It's inferior to keep saying you are not inferior.

UT has over 100 more victories than UF over time, since you want to talk programs.

Walt, I have already congratulated you and the University of Tennessee for all of your accomplishments prior to black people being allowed to play.

I don't see any reason why this not possible but you have to play the games. That is why off season championships don't count in the regular season.
