Your post is completely retarded but I'll divulge you with a response anyway.

quote:

UGA fans were the only ones claiming their defense would be the shizzizle

No we weren't, if you looked at the players we had it was only logical to assume we would have a great defense. It was impossible in June to know that several players would miss multiple games due to injury or suspension. But to say we were gonna be a great defense wasn't out of line in the least bit.

quote:

Most everyone else lol'd at them when they'd claim it

No they didn't, because it was perfectly reasonable on paper. Are people going to lol at aTm for thinking they'll have a great offense next year? Of course not.

quote:

because they do it every year.

2008 was the last preseason that people claimed we would have a great defense.

quote:

Every year they've got the next Herschel

According to who dumbass? There will never be another Herschel, not at UGA or anywhere. The only people who claim the "next herschel" are homer sportswriters or walmart sidewalk fans who think everybody is going to be the next somebody. That represents an EXTREMELY minute portion of our actual fanbase.

quote:

they're gonna have the greatest D in the league since Bama's '92 squad.

I have never heard one single UGA fan say these words, ever.

quote:

They'll be doing exactly the same this off-season as well.

In my opinion, I think we have the potential on offense to finish in the top 2 in the league, but based on our defensive deflections we will struggle on that side early on. We have enough talent to be good, but will take some lumps early. Most UGA fans are predicting 9-3 right now.

So now go ahead and tell me how I and all other UGA fans think we're the best ever and are going undefeated.

Texas A&M's offense will be unstoppable. Our passing game is going to take a step back after losing Swope, but our running game is going to be ridiculous.

Ok I will, we've had 2 AAs on the OL under Richt, the last being in 2005. It is widely known that we've had OL issues in the past, but nobodoy (other than you I guess) is under the impression we've been littered with AA talent there. This year they did better than expected, and return everybody.

What qualifies suddenly in your mind as to what makes a UGA OL All-SEC and/or All-America? Remember, any disqualifications you think up now weren't applicable back when UGA fans (such as yourself) were claiming these guys were all All conference and AA's, when UGA fans were claiming that UGA's OL was the "best" in the SEC....

The OL will always be solid. An OL with Steen and Kouandjio automatically one of the best in the nation, and if Fluker stays then it'll be even better. McCarron is back with all of his weapons sans Michael Williams and likely Eddie Lacy. Plus he adds more, and OJ Howard is a mismatch for anyone who tries to cover him.

Ummm..none of those are real All American lists. You used a sports website, another sporting organization, another website, and a magazine writer. Do you see the FWAA or AP on that list?

quote:

Selected to the Pro Football Weekly All-America Team

Means about as much as the SEC voting on the NFL pro bowl. Everything else you listed was either preseason or an SEC award.

Soooooo...my point still remains. 02 and 05 are the only years we've had an OL named a legit All American after the season.

Who claimed this, and when? Going into 2010 or 2011 people said we had the BIGGEST OL in the country, which was a verifiable fact. You seem to be the only one trying to claim that UGA fans have raved on and on about how great our OLs have been, when that's not really the case.

And it's not really the case for 2013 either. We return all 5 starters, so the line should be very solid. But we only have 1 guy on there who MIGHT, maaaaaybe be in contention for AA status. I'm saying the OL as a whole should be good, not that we have all americans at every position.

Alabama's offense will be the best. So many 5 star Rb's, Senior QB, and the best Receivers in the nation. Roll tide

Who are the other 5* RBs on the roster?

bama's top five returning WRs and LSU's top four

bama --------------------- LSU
cooper 53 catches --- Landry 52 catches
norwood 26 catches --- OBJ 40 catches
cr jones 25 catches --- Boone 24 catches
bell 17 catches ------- Wright 18 catches
white 8 catches

total 129 catches ------- 134 catches

LSU SR QB too

BETTER O-line too too

both of y'all are stretching. Bama does NOT have the best wr corps in the nation. Not even in the conference.

LSU still has Mettenberger who defines inconsistent.

While I agree that Bama will have a good offense next year I think it's a dumb argument to use RBs as a reason they will have the best offense. If that's the reason why a team would be the best then LSU would technically have the best offense. You've seen our roster, correct?

I also don't think all the teams in the SEC will sit on Ole Miss next year.

This is such a bullshite argument.

Do you think teams in the SEC "sit" on other teams? C'mon, that's ridiculous. The only time I've seen teams "sit down" was when they were bad to begin with and were obviously losing a head coach, such as Arkansas and Auburn this year and Ole Miss last year.

Everyone mentioning running backs forgets the fact that we are returning Ben Malena (averaged 5.8 yards per carry), Trey Williams (5* back), and will now have Brandon Williams (5* back that transferred from OU), and Tra Carson (our big back) available.

We will be stacked at WR, even without Swope.

It looks like we lose 1 of our OL Juniors.

A&M aside, I think GA, Bama, and Ole Miss will all be stout.

Now look at yards and TDs from those returning WRs:

Bama - 2154 yards, 22 TDs
LSU - 1785 yards, 10 TDs

Ole Miss was good is year?

Against SEC competition, Ole Miss had the #6 scoring offense, #6 total offense, and #3 pass offense. Two years ago, we were dead last in everything.

So, yeah, considering the jump in production in year one of Coach Freeze and considering how many starters we return, it's not exactly ridiculous to assert that Ole Miss will be one of the better offenses in the SEC next year.

We're gonna move the ball and score, and do it better than most teams in the conference.

It must have been nice for them to pad their stats against the likes of Western Kentucky, Florida atlantic, Missouri, Tennessee, Western Carolina and an Arky team with a back up QB who loved to throw the ball back to the other team.

So to me, the only games Bama needed to try at all were LSU, TAMU, and the SECCG. Do your passing stats mean zilch.

So you were fine with 167back's post using the same games because his stats gave the edge to LSU. But you take exception when I use the same games to show stats where Bama has the edge? And I don't suppose any of LSU's WRs padded their stats at all against the likes of North Texas, Idaho, Washington, or Towson?

A&M will have some hiccups at the start of the year, but by the end of the year could be absolutely filthy. Lose Swope but add Williams, RSJ, Parker all at 6'4" or better, and an assortment of other options. Add Clear at 6'6" and possibly Griffin, and holy crap on what JFF has at his disposal. Also, the running game will be even better.

Can you imagine 5 wide with every receiver at 6'4" or better?

The defense will have more depth and talent, but is losing a lot of leadership.
