Just Googled him.

Question: Why would any coach sign a contract with an SEC non-compete?
Is this typical?
Seems kinda short-sighted.
Only reason I can think is that--scanning his bio--he's a Midwesterner to the bone and wants to end up there.

Just wonderin'.

Does that just cover lateral moves? Surely he didn't sign anything that wouldn't allow him to take a HC spot if someone offered.

just while he's here. he could leave then sign but Bert requires his coordinators (and maybe even assistants) to sign non-competes, especially after the Pittman fiasco
