A few days ago, Saban said he would continue coaching as long as he's successful and healthy enough. He could be HC at Bama for another decade.

He didn't say where he'd be coaching. He's gotta want to show that he would've been successful in the NFL had the Dr's not squashed Brees.

It will be Ed O. He went from unemployed to LSU's coach in two years. I think he can land Bama's HC job after a couple .500 seasons at LSU.

Who would want to take over the Cowboys after Tom Landry?

Well, you're safe.

Truth though, Nick is at Trump Towers this morning discussing the Secretary of Defense cabinet position. Terry will coach the team.

Who ever takes over for him will be destroyed by the wacky fan base as soon as he fails to live up to Saban. Just like all the coaches between Saban and the drunk.

He would probably want to pass Bryant. I think he is already considered the best Bama couch anyway.

You are contradicting yourself. You said this is his last year if he wins the NC, now you are saying he wants to pass Bryant? Which is it Babalou?

I take it you weren't around or don't remember the end of the Coach Landry era. He went 3-13 in his final year in 1988 and they hadn't been in the playoffs since 1985.

When it was pointed out that he will be tied with Bryant then I modified the time frame. I'm sure his ego wants that record also.

Pruitt been DC at FSU(national title) & UGA.
Now back at Bama leading what could end up as the best defensive unit ever if they run the table.
If so that would give him two national titles as a DC.
Charlie strong did the same for Myer and it got him the UL & Texas job.
Saban will do what ever it takes to keep him.

I expect Pruiit to be a hot name next years season end.So if he does another after that (third year as Saban's DC).
A coach in waiting could be a much stronger possibility.

bullshite! Some programs are forced to lower themselves to hiring a staffer with either a zero or piss poor HC resume.

Alabama has been there and done that and damn sure won't have to do it post-Saban.

I hate to say I have sauces but I do....those very close to the Dabo camp. Lets just say, he will be heading to Tuscaloosa as soon as Saban gives the green light. I personally can't wait

Is it a childhood friend who played at UTEP's uncle who is a great entrepreneur in the New Orleans area who's good friends with a guy who owns a car wash in Chalmette's cousin who you recently went on a nature walk with?

I'd have 3 names on the list, but my first call would be to Chris Klieman at North Dakota State.

Name me a coach other than Nick whose program personifies excellence. He identifies good talent and gets the most out of it.

Following Nick will be an impossible task, but I'll take my chances with a guy who may win yet another consecutive title there.

We've already seen NOBODY in the bowl subdivision wants to play them anymore.
