With another NC this year is Saban done at Bama. Who takes over? Who are the hot coaches that could step in and keep things going?

Actually the next one just ties Bryant's record. Saban will need one more to break it. He won't quit without that record.

I would imagine the job would be Dabo's if he is ready to come home.

Saban's retirement begins the Rapture. If you're still here football is the last thing you will be worried about.

He would probably want to pass Bryant. I think he is already considered the best Bama couch anyway.

He's sofa king good. Witnessing him chaise history is a privilege. When he does retire, Dabo ottoman up and take his spot.

If it makes you feel better I took out "word is". Who would Bama look to to continue the legacy that is Bama football?

First, He won't go until he breaks the record.

I can tell u for a fact it will not be a new hotshot but an established coach. I know that for a stone cold fact. Who we will talk to?

Dabo
Jimbo
These are the first two. Probably won't get past here but here are the others that will be on the list

Urban
Chris Petersen
John Harbaugh
Bill O'Brien
Bruce arians--maybe

A few days ago, Saban said he would continue coaching as long as he's successful and healthy enough. He could be HC at Bama for another decade.

Lots of coaches say one thing and do another. Spurrier just up and quit on UF with no forwarning just to name one.

It can happen. I'd think Dabo would be the first call.

Saban is ~65 years old and is one of the youngest looking 65 year olds you'll ever see. I think he's got plenty left in the tank if he wants to keep using that fuel. And he's a smart guy and continues to work on his craft. He may eclipse Spurrier's run of 4 SEC titles in a row and 5 SECCGs in a row. Spurrier won the SEC in 90 and 91 then made the SECCG 92-96. In those 7 years total he had 6 titles. Saban may reach or exceed that.

I'm in no hurry to see Saban leave. I only want to see UF catch up.

I believe it's Sark's job to lose at this point. Bama has a thing for drunks.
